My Home and Native Land!
So I’m back in Canada this month.
We played some shows up here at the end or March and on the way back the Good Lord decided to emphasize to me the importance of integrity in all areas of my life. I felt like He made his point pretty clear when the border guard told me point blank he didn’t believe I wasn’t working in the US. I was officially kicked out of the country as of America on April 28, 2010. Don’t worry though, it’s not permanent.
The good dudes in Manic Drive have decided to help me out with the visa issue, so it looks like I should be back down south in early July. Until then I am here in Goderich, Ontario, the town where I grew up. Being here is just about as bitter-sweet as life can get. On one hand I am enjoying what feels like vacationing, but i’ve also involuntarily given up some things i’ve over the last while come to know and love. Sleeping in vans, Starbucks, Chic-Fil-A, Moe’s, meeting more people than I came remember, faking a southern accent, and acting like I know what i’m talking about.
Until I get back there here are some non-work related goals I have made for myself:
1. The most important goal on this list. A six pack. Normally I don’t have enough time regularily attend a gym. Now I do.
2. I live in a beach town. Taking advantage of this might be fun.
3. Practicing guitar. I suck. I’d like to suck less. We’ll see.
4. Spend some time downtown Toronto. Why do I never do this?
5. Working out my arms might be fun too. This happens when we do shows anyways, so it might not happen. Again, we’ll see.
6. Put in some travel time somewhere… Vancouver would be sick. Otherwise, Montreal or further east.
7. Update this more.
